There are few things as therapeutic as early morning prayer. That necessary space in the morning when you’re able to be vulnerable with God. To confess, to hear Him, to praise Him, to thank Him. These moments for me are so good that I often don’t want them to end. I love them because they are my safest place and moments. I often just want to lay and pray with no end. However, as euphoric as they are, I know that God doesn’t want me to stay there. Indeed, He’s not rushing me nor is He ever tired of me. But, He does fill me with His Presence and Power, so I might get up and serve him. He gives me all His best, so I can step out into the worse and know that I’m not alone. Heaven is the goal, but Earth is the current assignment. And God is challenging me to work with courage and faith. Lord, thank You for morning prayer. Thank You for listening to such an undeserving person like me. But, above all, thank You for loving me, thank You for giving me the mind and strength to face today. #MissionLEAD

You name it, I tried it? Productivity apps, alarms, charts, spreadsheets, task accounts, books, deleting ‘distracting’ apps, shutting down my social media (yeah, that’s why I did it), working overnight, and a host of other aimless things. All in an attempt to fix a problem that I was too proud to admit and too ashamed to ask for help with.
I’m not attempting to advocate pessimism; however, I know that nothing good comes from living like ministry is supposed be perfect.
So, here’s the question: if I’m already challenged by my mandatory and very necessary truth, why in the world would I then seek additional and very unnecessary pain, by concerning myself with what EVERYBODY thinks of me?
On the 12th day of the month of December, in the year of *@#% (someone leans and says, “Did he just tell her age?”), God appointed my good thing and my wonderful gift.
However, there is a growing notion, that if your past and sadly, even present experiences within America are the opposite of grand... Success is essentially the fulfillment of a purpose or objective. In other words, if a thing does what it ought to do, then the thing is deemed successful. Therefore, if our chase for success is wrong, then our pursuit for purpose will be also.
Fact: “Depression is a serious medical illness; it is not something that you've made up in your head.” If a Christian can have cancer, HIV, shingles, a cold, and MS; then certainly they can suffer with depression. Depression is real and if we don’t deal with it, it will deal with us.
